It is recommended that you install the led driver on the outside of the headlight cavity. Due to the design of the 2015+ F-150 housing, the led driver will create additional heat within the headlight cavity and possibly cause the LED diode on the bulb to overheat. The ballast relocation kit fixes this problem.
LED Ballast Relocation Kit
The LED Ballast Relocation Kit includes a tube of RTV Silicon, a pair of bulb extension wires, wire connectors & either rubber boots or gromments (depending on the housing selected). These help aid the installation of the Ballast outside the 2015+ Ford F-150 headlight housing. Due to the length of the bulbs they may not fit without the larger rubber boots included with the kit. On the Anzo Projector high beams your rubber cap may be slightly loose. We recommend using a long zip tie or a few dabs of silicone to keep the rubber boot from moving.
Spyder High Beam Note: Due to the design of the H1 bracket within the Spyder housings, we currently do not have an LED Conversion Kit that will work with the high beams on the Spyder housings.
I had previously purchased Morinoto LED Headlights and didn’t have success and the lights flickered. I ordered this with the Relocation Kit and the Canbus adapter. I actually tested these without the Canbus on my 2016 F150 Lariat (501A) and they flickered quite a bit. With the Canbus installed, this lights are very bright at night, increase the amount of light thrown both out and width. This is a major improvement!
These bulbs are great! They produce more than enough light for your f150. I was really impressed.
Great headlights. So so shipping. Took a week to get headlights and paid for standard 2 shipping. Also relocation kit pain in the butt to install if you go thru the fender wells eventually i pulled the passenger headlight to install the 83mm boot. Went out driving after install, very bright only flashed once from a camaro due to him sitting lower and being a pos chevy than my f150.
Incredible lights. I put these Low beams in a new 2017 F150 XL. Watched all the Youtube vid's on install. Not a problem. The 6500K is great. very easy on your eyes. I used the canbus adapters and the Ballast relocation kit. Very happy with the results.
Easy install and great results. These really do look great in the F150.
I purchased these with a lot of skepticism, BUT they are worth the money. I would say these are by far the best lights I have put on any of my vehicles. This includes JW Speaker's I put on my Jeep for quite a bit more money. If I could suggest anything is to get the manufacturer to put out a quality and up to date, detailed installation video. I made a silly mistake on during the installation, mostly due to different instructions included with components. My mistake fortunately did not affect the functionality and was easily corrected.
I have a 2016 F-150 XLT 2.7 eco with the stock halogen light housing and of course the typical halogen bulbs. I researched LED kits/bulbs for 6 months and finally came across this website, I am positive without doubt this is the answer for replacing halogen low beams. The ClaraLux XHP50 bulb/ballast kit for H11 is just perfect. I do strongly recommend the ballast relocation kit but I did not need to do any splicing. One more thought to consider when bring the lights into “perfection” on the 2016 F-150 you have 3 - 10mm bolts that hold the light housing in place leave them slightly loose. The bolt holes are a bit larger so you can actually move the housing 3-5 degrees to zero in on pattern placement. In the end I have the perfect low beams. This solved my concerns about seeing the road plus no concern about blinding oncoming traffic.
I could not afford replacing high beams but a word of caution if you are thinking about doing both do so as the headlight body panel that you must pull off first can be very tricky. In my case a clip flew off into orbit and never found it. They cannot be had but did make one. Watch “You Tube” videos on how to correctly pull this panel off.

Very easy to install. 2016 F150, no resistors required. Super Brihht. I can now see the road. Just ordered the high beam kit because they cannot keep up with my new low beams.
